5.8 The Reader as a person who works in a pastoral context.

 

Whilst the survey indicated that over 50% of the respondents believed that taking communion to the homes of the sick and elderly, making pastoral visits and taking funeral were all primary functions the Winchester figures suggest that the frequency that Readers perform these duties is very low.
